Acetyl Octapeptide-3

Acetyl Otapeptide-3 is a synthetic peptide complex composed of aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glutamine, and methionine. This peptide, also known as SNAP-8, is said to improve the appearance of signs of ageing triggered by repeated facial movements, but no independent research backs up this claim.

What are the benefits?

Even if there was independent research demonstrating improvements in skin ageing, the concentrations used in the company-sponsored trials were 3% - 10%, which is far higher than what is currently used in skincare products. It has water-binding properties and the ability to regenerate skin, much like other peptides. It can help to make skin appear younger by hydrating and smoothing it.
